Barnaby Dixon
Barnaby Dixon is a puppeteer and puppet maker from the Southwest of the UK.
Starting out as a stop-motion animator, he quickly found that online content required a faster turnaround, so developed his own unique, and dynamic hand puppets to speed up the process. His approach was met with vast viral success, amassing over 1 million subscribers, and 150 million views on his YouTube channel alone. Barnaby’s ongoing comedy/vlog series with a bird puppet named ‘Dabchick’ has become his most iconic character to date.
His professional achievements include collaborating with companies such as Bad Robot, The Jim Henson Company, Wired, Adam Savage’s Tested, and the London Theatre Company. He also won the second season of the televised puppetry competition ‘Die Puppenstars’ in 2017.
Barnaby continues to push the boundaries of puppetry as an art form, employing the use new, and unconventional techniques to fabricate truly original creations.
